Web Design: Developed a new hub for public service information
Serving a population of over 220,00 people in Eastern Iowa, the Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency needed a new website where residents could find public service information quickly. Informatics’ Web Design team responded with an intuitive and easy-to-navigate site that prioritizes services and education.
Through website development, search engine optimization (SEO) and ongoing web maintenance, the Solid Waste Agency has seen an influx of visitors and customers, including a 127% jump in new website visitors in the first year alone. It is also accessible to individuals with disabilities and adheres to the Iowa Open Records Law, fulfilling the agency’s legal and community obligations.
Digital Marketing: Forward 2044
When the the Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency needed to alert county residents to the challenges facing its main landfill site in Marion, Iowa, including a possible early closure, it turned to Informatics for help getting the word out as part of a campaign called Forward 2044.
Informatics’ Digital Marketing team responded with a comprehensive campaign including Facebook advertising, search engine marketing (SEM), a redesigned landing page, and a custom video/YouTube ad including drone footage taken on-site. The seven-week campaign generated 1.18 million impressions in the local market, not including earned print and TV coverage.
