1. Set Up Google Places for Business
When a person includes a location in their search (i.e. "dentist cedar rapids") there's a good chance the top results Google will show are from their online business directory, known as Google Places for Business. This is a fantastic way to drive traffic to your site from legitimately interested local customers.
2. Include Your Website address
Simply put, include your website address (i.e. mycompany.com) on all your communications. Not only will this help drive potential customers to your site, it will also strengthen your company's brand identity and awareness.
Be sure all promotional materials you generate, including print ads, brochures, stationary, business cards, product sheets, etc. has your web address. And don't forget your email signature. One quick update and all your emails can help to keep your brand top of mind.
3. Use Social Media
When you create content for your business, such as press releases, newsletters, product tips, etc., be sure to provide links to those resources via posts on social networks. This allows those currently connected to your business to get updates but it also provides additional exposure through fan interaction. Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn are great places to expand the visibility of your website through content posts.
